- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆Parts of the forest are beautiful and well worth a visit, especially some of the southern sections. Camping, on the other hand can be, well, hell. Like horse flies? You'll find plenty. Fan of yellow flies? They got 'em by the baker's thousands. Enjoy the whine of mosquitoes in your ears? No shortage of that experience. So, go . . . for the day. Then head back to your campsite at St. George State Park. You'll be glad you did. You'll have potable water. A toilet. And a sea breeze to keep the voracious bugs at bay.By Jason Flom, June 14, 2017

- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I can only say I went with friends to go into Tate's Hell to carry our kids swimming. I was riding with someone, me & my kids and 3 other cars with other friends! It started to sprinkling the car went into a spin,,he lost control of the suv turned over into a creek my kids and his was under water trying to get out to safety! No cop's nor ambulance would come to us at all! This was the day we were lost and under the curse of Tate'S HELL never to return! But for sure if you want to hide and not be found this is your place !!!! Because I'm sure the curse is still alive! !!!! Just remember take bright yellow or orange string make you some markers, plenty of water,food, flash lights, all you need to get in touch for survival.
